Zac Wichlei is an award-winning documentary filmmaker and editor. Zac was born and raised in South Carolina to Polish, Czech and Italian migrant family and now resides in Wellington, NZ. Their extensive experience stems from a BA in Film at one of Britain’s top film schools and an MA from the University College of London. Along with their educational experience, Zac has several years of experience specialising in post-production and holds professional certifications in Avid Media Composer and Adobe Premiere Pro.
Zac has worked on award-winning documentary short films such as iVSA award-winning drama, Alma, shot in the Ushguli mountains of Georgia. Sanctuary, a documentary shot in Turkey on a local animal rescue centre started by an isolated British expatriate. Fresh Cutz, focused on how a North London community is centred around the ongoings of a local barbershop. As well as, Carry On, a documentary focused on an English musician’s struggle for success during a pandemic.
